antidisestablishmentarianism

DISCLAIMERS:
If you haven't read ALL the Twilight books and care to, there may be a chance that this may contain some spoilers, consider yourself warned.

If you are an avid fangirl of Twilight, some material may not be appropriate and may be terribly offensive. Such claims are not mine. Credit is given where credit is deserved.

I find those who obsess amusing. They devote their lives to something so pitiful.
Its ONE thing to obsess over a series of books, but its another thing to obsess over your HATRED of a book series.

If you don't like it, don't bother.

Nope, not good enough for some people. They have to openly join facebook groups to BASH authors and their work. Then they persist on bashing the characters created..

patheticccc

Examples? I am abounding in examples.

The Pro-Twilight obsessions are some of my faves.
Lets start with: www. hisgoldeneyes. com... yes.
Okay, so its NOT that shabby. There's a section devoted to blood drives, something Carlisle would be proud of, allegedly.

Someone from Venezuela wrote on a Bella fanpage: "I love you Bella!!
Bite me now!" and there are many other shouts of love, which just amuse me.

Of higher content are the ANTI Twilight pages.
On one anti-Twilight page, they are really grasping for reasons and blowing things WAYY out of proportion when they wrote this:

"For all that despise that creepy controlling vampire by the name of Edward Cullen or just Twilight in general.

Edward:

1. I will creepily watch Bella as she sleeps and eats cause that's what ALL the cool kids do....

2. I control my Bella and don't let her do what she wants...even though she is pathetically stupid. Oh, was "my Bella" possessively sexist? Yes. Because it's in the book folks, no denying it.

3. SHE CAN'T SEE HER BEST FRIEND CAUSE I IS JEALOUS

4. I'm extremely handsome. And the terms "marble cold body and melting topaz eyes" haven't been used enough.

5. We talk about the most boring shit, like me killing her. And then me asking her out. And then me warning her. But then asking her out again.

6. I like Bella because of: ...her smell and..and..yea there isn't anything else is there?

7. Left Bella and made her depressed for like half the book. Who even wants to read about that?

8. Be more of a serious sally please.

9. I'M AN OLD MAN PREYING ON A YOUNG GIRL
Oh wait what? Definition? Pedophile. There we go.
_______________________________

Bella:

1. ZOMG MI FAVURITE CULOR IZ TEH BROWNZ CUZ ITS BORINGS LYKE ME

2. I hate my dad even though he lovingly sacrificed his daily life to let in a pubescent, hormonal, moody teenage girl.

3. Everyone wants to be friends with me but I don't want to be friends with them cause I like wallowing in my own sadness

4. I do exactly the opposite of everything I'm told to do cause I know that way I'll almost die and Edward will have to come save me... again.

5. I trip on everything cause I know it makes teh boyz like me

6. I get mad at the boy who almost killed me when he tries to apologize

7. I think Renesmee is a good name

8. I think Renesmee is a pronouncable name

9. I likez the sex

10. I made out with my daughter's boyfriend... won't THAT be an interesting bedtime story

11. I have no appreciation for sex jokes.

12. I think its sexy when boys tell me they want to kill me

Twilight sucks. Times infinity.
Please feel free to add more reasons to the list.
______________________________
TWILIGHT AND THE VALUES IT TEACHES:

1. Controlling boyfriends are okay, if they are hot.
2. True love can be defined through hot boys and great smelling chicks.
3. Making boys save you from all your problems is the right path to becoming a good and independent individual.
4. Girls are all weak and need boys to come save them.
5. Give up all of your dreams and goals (even if that DOES mean reading Wuthering Heights over and over) for a boy.
6. Be mean to your dad.
7. The Chief of Police is stupid and won’t be able to tell you are sneaking a boy into your room. So do it.
8. Women are meant to be in the kitchen, because cooking it the only thing Bella knows how to do.
9. Making out with your daughter’s bf is okay.
10. Making out with someone else when you are engaged is also okay.
11. Name your child Renesme and you won’t regret it.
12. Refuse to have any friends at school because they aren’t good enough for you anyway.
13. Killing yourself is okay, as long as it's in the name of love.
14. Date Edward Cullen. And then you too can marry him and have a crazy half-vampire kid that doesn't exist. "

Also on that page:
Lovely Torie Jee

The Twilight Series: Edward Cullen is a shitty character that has absolutely no flaws whatsoever. That, my friend, is called shitty writing. Jacob Black is a hairy little weirdo that tries to act all bad-ass and Bella is a shallow, dim-witted girl whose entire world revolves around boys. She so called "loves" Edward for no other reason than he's hot. Oh wow, she smells like "strawberries" and "freesia" and he's afraid to hurt her cause he's a vampire! Boo hoo! So what? Is that it? Dear Lord, I dedicated a whole paragraph to my utter hatred for Twilight. Shit. I bet I'm going to be mobbed by a bunch of fangirls now screaming "NO I HATE U I LUV EDWARD CULLEN! I AM MRS. EDWARD CULLEN." Whatever. Go read your precious "Breaking Dawn" book in your corner, you stupid emo girl. Good luck finding your own immortal pretty boy that sparkles in the sunlight like a pansy or have fun searching for a hairy underage wannabe bamf that is all sweaty and disgusting. I hope he sweats all over you. Anyway, whatever you fancy, just go away already. I'm sick of hearing all this acclaim for a shitty book. It's called a plot, Stephenie Meyers. Maybe you should write one. "

There is such a thing as an opinion and the freedom to express it, but for pete's sake people, there is a difference between bashing and stating an opinion.

And, someone even went so far in his hate-dom of the series to re-write Breaking Dawn as he saw it. http://breakingdawnparody. blogspot. com/

Although it is freakin' hilarious.

ME? Oh, I love the series. I love how intertwined the plot is, although, the end of the series is, of course, a semi let down, as most series enders are [allusion to Harry Potter]. As for the claims of Edward's obsessiveness and controlling nature, think merely of the time he was brought up in and think also of how forgiving he is of this nature and allows Bella to do as she pleases, even when she is keeping secrets from him [Breaking Dawn, J Jenks] and he cared enough about her and TRUSTED her enough to not pry.

Anyway, that was my rant about how stupid it is to obsess over negative things, which is a waste of time. Don't bash authors. If you feel you could write a better book, don't waste your time tearing other author's works apart, write your own damn book.

On a different note:
I've been contemplating what I want to do with my life,
career-wise that is,
and I know I want to do something involving English,
sobeit writing, editing, reading, teaching, etc,
ANYTHING to do with the language.
Maybe I could teach English as a second language,
if I can master a different language such as Spanish that is.
However, I don't want to do some dry boring drab writings where I just drone on and on about something asinine
such as:
National Debt,
Mating rituals of penguins,
How to properly assemble a book shelf,
How to shift a car,
What the square root of Pi REALLY is,
How badly the economy sucks,
My life biography, [unless I just use instances in my life as motivation for a fictional story],
The proper use and function of the abbreviation of "etc." and how ect. is a lame misspelling of the perfect Latin,
How spell check makes us all lazy buffoons, myself including considering I didn't know which vowel to use in that primate's name.
How pathetic this generation TRULY is.

Instead I'd LOVE to write philosophical pieces explaining the different minute idiotic mindsets of human teenagers.
Categorizations of the teenaged primates of America.
How America sucks in comparison to other nations that are as respected as we are without being masochistic morons about it.
How other countries suck in comparison to America.
Why we should flee this country with any dignity we have left before the Stock Market crashes... again,
BECAUSE WE CAN'T LEARN FROM PREVIOUS MISTAKES WE MAKE,
Unless Obama actually does all that he promised,
excluding that whole walking on water business.
I'd like to write one coherent fictional book,
a few short stories,
and I would love to reveal truths.
I find myself already doing such when popular myths and conspiracies are posted on Myspace and such by finding the fact in it all and posting MY version of what is going on.
Not to mention I never miss an opportunity to inform people via Myspace that general society is being immature as exhibited above with my attack on the anti-Twilighters.

Question:
Is it coincidence that ever since Obama was elected President the stock market is doing better?

Answer:
I hope not.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And now for something completely different:

Circa May '07
Haha. I met him when he had that beard. =P

July '07
Youth Conference. Its when we got to know each other a smidge better.

June '08
Senior Banquet.
I look terrible in this picture, but I love it nonetheless,
because, mostly, it shows how seriously he takes me,
how seriously I WANT to be taken.
I'm young, and I don't necissarily want to take everything seriously.
I'm carefree.
He said "take a picture of us!" I, not fond of cameras, grimaced but acquiesced, turned my camera away from my gorgeous friends for a moment and stared down the lens of my camera. When I began to press down the button he turned his head away from the camera and began to tell me he loved me. Thats what it takes for me to smile unabashed in a picture.
A picture says a thousand words, but I have one thousand more to say on top of that.

He and I have changed so much over the last year. We're best friends and that will never change,
but I feel we are so much more.
Inseperable even.
A part of me is away from me.. Miles and miles away. Days away.
I spent so long trying to fill a void before the void was completely created,
but I realized that only one person could fix that void...
the one who created it.
As Bella-esque that sounds, its the plain and simple truth.

I know that I've made some mistakes and that I've screwed up a whole lot of things...
but is it too late to say 'sorry'?
Because I am;
I am sorry.

One Star

Like winter in July.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
~ by Ralph Waldo Emerson

I have found men who didn't know how to kiss.
I've always found time to teach them.
~ by Mae West ~

She lives only in winter
Even under summer’s sun
She’s just re-living moments
When she thought he was the one

When love comes so strong there's no right or wrong.
Your love is your life.
[West Side Story]

"O, then, I see Queen Mab hath been with you.
She is the fairies’ midwife, and she comes
In shape no bigger than an agate-stone
On the fore-finger of an alderman,
Drawn with a team of little atomies
Over men’s noses as they lie asleep;
Her chariot is an empty hazel-nut
Made by the joiner squirrel or old grub,
Time out o’ mind the fairies’ coachmakers.
Her wagon-spokes made of long spinners’ legs,
The cover of the wings of grasshoppers,
The traces of the smallest spider’s web,
The collars of the moonshine’s watery beams,
Her whip of cricket’s bone, the lash of film,
Her wagoner a small grey-coated gnat,
Not so big as a round little worm
Prick’d from the lazy finger of a maid;
And in this state she gallops night by night
Through lovers’ brains, and then they dream of love;
O’er courtiers’ knees, that dream on court’sies straight,
O’er lawyers’ fingers, who straight dream on fees,
O’er ladies ‘ lips, who straight on kisses dream,
Which oft the angry Mab with blisters plagues,
Because their breaths with sweetmeats tainted are:
Sometime she gallops o’er a courtier’s nose,
And then dreams he of smelling out a suit;
And sometime comes she with a tithe-pig’s tail
Tickling a parson’s nose as a’ lies asleep,
Then dreams, he of another benefice:
Sometime she driveth o’er a soldier’s neck,
And then dreams he of cutting foreign throats,
Of breaches, ambuscadoes, Spanish blades,
Of healths five-fathom deep; and then anon
Drums in his ear, at which he starts and wakes,
And being thus frighted swears a prayer or two
And sleeps again. This is that very Mab
That plaits the manes of horses in the night,
And bakes the elflocks in foul sluttish hairs,
Which once untangled, much misfortune bodes:
This is the hag, when maids lie on their backs,
That presses them and learns them first to bear,
Making them women of good carriage:
This is she—"
[Mercutio, Romeo + Juliet, William Shakespeare]

Get outta this place while we still have time.

My life feels like this:

put me back together?

Is this my blog on love or life?
Or is it both?
I don't know where I am standing any more.
So, I'm waiting...
putting together my puzzle;
figuring things out.

But, I take comfort in the fact that if I stand absolutely, positively still...
I can watch the stars move.

Where ever you are,
where ever I am,
the stars still spell our our names.
